When climbing in one of the world's largest indoor rock climbing facilities, good visibility and safety are critical. Working closely with the client, earleylight originated the concept for a "Light Sock" luminaire (Sept. 2000) that disperses soft light onto the walls, is easy on the eyes from virtually any angle, and is literally soft to the touch; should one have a climbing mishap and come into contact with the Light Sock.
